I did receive several "We apologize for the inconvenience". The person on the other end was less than friendly and was sarcastic. I was informed they weren't taking 3rd party reservations and that it didn't matter that I had a confirmation number. Pros: NOTHING!!!!! I sent a text to the number to have my car brought to me. I’m sure it’s fine if your rental car doesn’t break down, but if it does it’s a nightmare. And whoever the female worker was on Sunday during the whole situation was totally rude.Ĭons: Basically everything. That probably wouldn’t happen anywhere else, because this place is trying do all their business through smart phones. And I don’t know how, but they were going to charge me 4 times more than what I agreed to, because the guy at check out kept accidentally updating my reservation and adding more days to my reservation. At that point I was already in an Uber on the way to an airport car rental. I then get a phone call from a number that’s not even associated with silvercar saying that if I leave the car before the tow arrives I’m responsible to anything that happens to it. I asked at least two employees if I could leave the car where it was at with the keys inside, so that I could head to another rental agency and just move on from there, and both said yes. The car battery died at some point during all this and it was below freezing. Meaning I had to wait up 90 minutes for the tow to arrive, and then ride an hour back to Boston, pick up a new car and drive another 2 hours to where I was going. But now I was being told I had to come back with the car in the tow truck. On the third call, they basically had no idea what to do and finally figured they needed to call a tow truck. They then hung up on me twice after I was trying to tell them the car wasn’t working. Pros: They gave me a car that broke down half way to destination. May be heading for a legal redress if I am still left unattended to. My fist dealing with SIXT for that matter. I am very frustrated and it was a very bad experience for me. Have made several calls in the last 48hours for an urgent redress but got tossed around by your representatives that attended to the calls. This is very frustrating, unprofessional and should be corrected IMMEDIATELY!!! It is very unbecoming of an organization like SIXT. I complained in writing and visited your Boston office 3times to rectify it but met with frustration!!!!! The second charge to my account for the period May 3rd to Jwas $2,122.86 posted to my account on J( transaction date, June 10,2023). The first rental charge to my account on was $1,527.84 for the period April 29 - May 3rd, 2023. If I don’t get a quick and positive response for the correction, I may see legal redress in the nearest future. As I write, I have been over charged twice for tge rental and efforts to get the attention of your company to rectify the OBVIOUS anomalies have been frustrated. Jun 2023 Though car allocated was good and served its purpose, the whole relationship and experience was very frustrating even up till now.
